Zimbabwe is located in southern Africa. The landscape is mainly characterized by plateaus and hills. To the north is the Zambezi River. The capital, Harare, is the largest city in the country with around 1.6 million inhabitants. Zimbabwe is a landlocked country and has no access to the sea. The country has been politically independent since 1980.
